Pakistan Hydropower Development Authority is an independent agency of the Government of Pakistan responsible for the management of the province’s water resources. It was established in 1958 by a Parliamentary Decree after independence.

WAPDA owns the largest dam in Pakistan and actively controls and manages the needs of Pakistan’s economy and trade. It also plans to complete five multi-purpose dams to meet the growing demand for electricity.

WAPDA aims to create clean and affordable energy for the citizens of Pakistan to reduce the cost of electricity keeping in mind the needs of consumers. The company has an independent network throughout the country.

Eligibility Criteria

WAPDA Internship Program is open to disciplines such as Electrical/Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Geological Engineering, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources Management and Mass Communication.

This internship lasts eight weeks. There are 50 workplaces in total. Selected prisoners will be paid Rs. 20,000/- per month. Both recent graduates and recent graduates can apply. The maximum age limit is 26.

Applicants from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, Azah Kashmir and former Federally Administered Tribal Districts are eligible for this internship.
